Course Description: In this class, students will learn what you see in the reference picture, observing form carefully to express the image of the person. You will learn how to design, gesture, proportions, perspective, mixing cool and warm colors, different skin tones, the relationships of shapes and measurements, values and color of the subject. This class is for beginner as well as intermediate learners. You will learn how to set up your color palette, creating transparent, translucent and opaque applications, and identifying and mixing the values and hues that you want to work with. You will learn how to vary your work between sharp and soft lines, train your eye to identify and recreate gradation, and lay in light and shadow accurately and how to balance color blending and textures. We’ll also teach how to add vivid colors and give contemporary look to the portrait.
