Description

Welcome to the Draw and Paint Class!

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, in this class, you can focus with one or more mediums you would like to learn such as Drawing and Charcoal, Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic Pen & Ink. You are welcome to choose to draw or paint landscapes, seascapes, florals, still life, figurative and portraits. Many techniques are explored. Composition is discussed as well as lighting and darkening values. Learn how to mix colors and how to apply them using several techniques such as blocking, layering, texturing, glazing, palette knifing etc. You will learn how to set up your color palette, creating transparent, translucent and opaque effects, and identifying and mixing the values and hues, light and shadow blending and textures that you want to work with. Students are open to work with photographs of their choice. You will be guided step-by-step to enhance your creativity.

NOTE: Although you have a choice to learn any one or more mediums, our advice is to stick to one medium and learn it thoroughly throughout the session. By doing this you will get enough time to focus and to explore different types of  techniques on your projects using that medium. Mediums – “Oil Painting” and “Pen & Ink” are not recommended for 11 years and below
